Here's a review of the 808+ from Ryan Clifford (The Silenced) "I set the gain on the amp's overdrive channel to about 10 o'clock, and set the TS808+ With Drive at Max, Tone at 3 O'clock and Level at 2 O'clock . The sweet, harmonically rich overdrive that blasted out of the Amp was simply incredible. Sustain was greatly improved and my guitar's natural attack made notes leap off the fretboard During articulate lead runs. Meaty, Palm-muted riffs and screaming pinch harmonics were incredibly easy to achieve, and full open chords shined through the mix with definition and increased harmonic frequency. Feed-back pitch control is now smooth sounding and available on command."

Here's Ryan Clifford's take on the GoudieFX Compressor "I put the compressor through the effects loop between my Delay and Chorus which turned the pedal into my secret weapon. Never before have my leads been so full and silky smooth. Every time the pedal was engaged I was able to add the perfect amount of sustain with the setting at 10 o'Clock. The Level was set at 2 o'clock which produced close to a 5db increase in level which was perfect for soloing over another guitar player who is playing a cranked mesa triple rectifier. When on the clean channel, I used it with my guitar volume rolled back to achieve a nice tight funk sound. The unit is very transparent and does not colour your original tone, in fact it allows it to be heard evenly. Everything I did when I had this on sounded amazing. Using this compressor as a lead boost truly allowed me to sing with my fingers and not worry about being heard.

The lead tones that I'm getting out of this thing are phenomenal, a nice creamy tone with gobs of sustain...I love it!!! Works great as boost too. Thanks Russell this one is definitely a keeper!
