GoudieFX Delay
Pricing (Canadian Dollars)
DescriptionThis is a digital delay which uses the PT2399 IC, there is an analog feedback path which minimizes the harshness that some digital delays can exhibit. This delay was designed as an alternative to analog BBD type delay pedals (Ibanez AD9, Boss DM2). There is 400ms of delay available which is 100ms more than you get with the typical BBD delay design. This pedal doesn't provide long delay times with infinite repeats or looping functions, the goal was to keep it simple and practical for the gigging musician. There is an independant 'wet level' control rather than a 'blend' allowing you set the repeats to match your dry signal (great for U2 type delays). The dry signal is buffered from the digital portion of the circuit to ensure no tone loss or colouration. This is an affordable, warm, digital delay with True Bypass that is a great alternative to noisy BBD type delay pedals. NOTE: The current usage is approximately 30mA which is more than most pedals so I recommend using a DC adapter (wall wart) instead of a battery to power the pedal. May 2008: Due to quality and supply problems with the PT2399, the GoudieFX delay will be discontinued when remaining stock is sold, buy it now while you still can. Audio Files
* Clip 2 & 3 are played without the effect first for reference purposes. Features
