Description:

This is a simple but effective non-inverting signal amplifier using a single TI TL071 IC (high fidelity, low noise w/JFET inputs) that passes all frequencies and provides up to 20.8 dB of clean volume that does not colour your guitar signal (although the amp may saturate). The Buffer Boost is a great insurance plan to guarantee your solos will cut through the mix on stage. You can also leave it on all the time to drive your amp/pedal inputs a little harder to get different tones from your existing rig. Think of this pedal as a DI box with adjustable gain, great for gigs when the other members keep gettin louder :-). The Buffer Boost has high input impedance, low output impedance and also acts as a signal buffer which isolates your guitar from your signal chain and maximizes the output (and tone) from your guitar pickups. The boost can be used as a line driver which really helps if you are running long cables or using more than a few pedals in a live situation.

NOTE: This pedal does not provide attentuation, with the volume control turned fully counter clockwise you have a unity gain buffered signal.

* All Files recorded using a Fender Standard Strat into an Fender 5F4 Amp. The pedal was set for a moderate lead boost with ~4-5dB of gain.
